Goal: To prevent or correct conditions which cause dependent or elder adults to be mistreated by means of:
          •    Physical abuse
          •    Sexually abuse
          •    Financial abuse
          •    Neglect
          •    Self-neglect
          •    Isolation
          •    Abandonment


About the Program

Assistance:  APS is designed to serve all dependent and elder adults in Tuolumne County.  A “dependent” adult is any person 18 through 64 years of age who has physical or mental limitations which restrict his/her ability to carry out normal activities. An “elder” adult is any person 65 years old and older.

 

Participation:  Participation is voluntary in APS activities. The client has the right to refuse services, if s/he so chooses.  Clients are not charged for services.
