Computer Classes Begin September 7th Tuolumne County Library is offering free computer classes for beginning and intermediate level adults. These classes are offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 AM to 10 AM at the Sonora Central Library. Each course if 2 sessions long consisting of a lecture and practice lab. The subjects covered are Beginning Computers, an Introduction to Microsoft Word 2003, an Introduction to Microsoft Excel, and an Introduction to the Internet. Cafe Wednesday Book Nook Sale September 8th, come enjoy a free cup of coffee and browse the Sonora Central Book Nook. All Children's Books are on sale at 1/2 price.

Matinee Film Show, Wednesday September 15th from 3 PM to 5 PM Bring the family and come see the 1973 musical movie version of the Mark Twain classic Tom Sawyer. The film stars Johnny Whitaker as Tom, and a young Jodie Foster is Becky. The film is faithful to the book and recounts, in authentic fashion, the boy wonder and all his adventures, from the whitewashing of the fence to the hair-raising encounter with Injun Joe in the cave. Art in the Library The rotating art exhibit features the beadwork and Southwestern themed oil paintings of local artist Shaun Little. Little's Native American ancestry led her to the Southwestern themes and in conjunction she became adept with Native American crafts. The public is invited to visit the library at 480 Greenley Road in Sonora to view the display. For more information, call Sonora Central Library at (209) 533-5507.
