The Treasurer/Tax Collector's Office would like to welcome you to our website. The Treasurer/Tax Collector is responsible for two major functions. As County Treasurer, the department acts as the banking depository service for all County departments, District Schools and Special Districts. These services include receiving and depositing cash and check receipts, paying County warrants issued by the auditor or schools; and managing and investing pooled funds.
The department also administers the property tax billing and collection for the County, schools and special districts. This includes printing and mailing tax bills, recording payments, and reconciling account with the Controller/Auditor for the secured, unsecured and supplemental tax rolls. This department also works with Title Companies and Financial institutions, as well as property owners and realtors, to provide them with current and accurate tax amount information.
